Wylde Gardening Series: Grow Your Own Basil from Seed (In Person)

April 23 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Students taking this class will

  • learn about the varieties of basil that are high yielding and disease resistant in our area;
  • learn about the Winter Sowing method by converting clear plastic containers such as milk jugs into mini-greenhouses;
  • learn about the many ways students can use this method to grow their own plants from seed;
  • sow out at least 4 types of disease resistant basil strains into their new mini-greenhouses; each student should expect to end up with at least 12 future basil transplants.
  • transplant basil seedlings in the class to take home.

We are going to have a great time! All materials will be provided.

Class will be held in person Sunday, April 23, 3PM – 5 PM at our Edgewood Community Learning Garden. Session limited to 15 pre-registered participants

$25 for General Public
$15 for Wylde Center Members
