Wylde Farm Series: Seed Propagation & Soil Prep

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about what your soil needs to be healthy and productive for your plants to grow. Also, February is the perfect time to start your seeds for your spring and summer garden. Students will sow seeds out while learning where to source their seeds, what materials to use, how to care for them, and the best timing for starting your plants from seed.

Hands-on portion:
Start seeds for Wylde Center’s spring and summer farm sites

Who is this series for? New and experienced gardeners, farmers, and folks who want to farm.

Topic: Seed Propagation & Soil Prep
Date: Saturday, February 8
Time: 1 PM – 4 PM
Location: Oakhurst Garden (435 Oakview Rd.)
Cost: $35 for Wylde Center members (use promo code WYLDEMEMBER) and $45 for non-members. Participants must be ages 14 +. Participants ages 14-18 must be accompanied by a paid parent or guardian.

New for 2020, Wylde Center is offering weekend programs each month that will cover the basics of gardening and farming in Georgia. Each workshop will feature both a lecture and hands-on portion. We have designed our workshops based upon our actual farm schedule so you can get a real feel for the seasons and develop your own farm or garden site simultaneously. During the hands-on part of the class, participants will receive instruction as we work together to complete a seasonal project relevant to the lesson at one of our 3 farm sites.
