Calling all young explorers in Kindergarten through 5th grade—adventure awaits in the beautiful winter landscapes of Oakhurst Garden! Campers will spend their days playing exciting outdoor games, discovering how plants and animals thrive in the colder months, and wandering the magical Wylde Woods in search of seasonal wonders.
Inside, warmth and creativity bloom in our newly renovated teaching kitchen, specially designed for hands-on demonstrations and delicious winter recipe activities that campers can help prepare and share.

There is a small camper to educator ratio and a maximum of 25 campers, so please register ASAP!

Join us for Summer Camp at Oakhurst Garden!

Six Sessions: June 1 - July 24, 8:30 am - 3 pm
Open to children ages 5 - 12.
Special note: The recommended age for our July 20-24 session is 9 - 14
Join us for a summer outdoors at our Oakhurst Garden in Decatur. At Wylde Center, campers enjoy exploring, playing educational games, doing seasonal crafts, observing wildlife, and getting a hands-on, up-close look at the natural world around them.
Each week, camp will include culinary experiences that complement the particular theme. Campers will rotate through our demonstration kitchen for culinary learning, building cooking skills and exploring wise food choices through new, engaging experiences.
There is a small camper-to-educator ratio with a maximum of 25 campers per session, so register soon to hold your camper’s spot. Campers will have access to the newly renovated building at our Oakhurst Garden which includes an education room, kitchen, and bathrooms.

Each site offers unique ecosystems and experiences, from wildlife observation and plant discovery to open fields perfect for outdoor games and exploration.
Through hands-on activities, children will engage in arts and crafts inspired by nature, learn skills like shelter building and gardening, and develop confidence as they deepen their connection to the environment. Our camps foster curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for the great outdoors.
