How to Reserve your Space
Rental Information
General Booking Information
To reserve your dates, fill out the Garden Rentals Inquiry Form below. For general questions about rentals and garden availability, contact us at events@wyldecenter.org.
Please note: Rentals require a minimum booking of three hours. For an event lasting longer than five hours, please reach out to events@wyldecenter.org for a custom quote.
If you wish to have an informal (i.e. playdate, family picnic) gathering with fewer than ten people, please feel free to use the garden any time.
Formal events with more than ten people (graduation party, school outings, baby shower, reunions) need a reservation to avoid conflicts with other events.
If your school would like to use our garden for an event or gathering without an educator, please fill out the form to reserve your date.
Rental Policies
- Rentals at the Oakhurst Garden can exceed no more than 100 attendees.
- No outdoor amplified music is allowed during a rental. However, a microphone may be used for vows, announcements, or speeches. Indoor amplified music is allowed, but must adhere to the City of Decatur's noise ordinance.

Rentals Sunday-Thursday must end at 9 PM. Rentals Friday and Saturday must end at 10 PM.

Rentals with 50 or more confirmed guests must work with the Rentals Manager on a parking plan that is specific to your rental.

Your rental will include a rental host that will stay for the duration of your rental.

We strive to make our rentals landfill-free and thus provide composting service that handles most of the trash. (This one is part of our Green Rentals Policy and we charge a $75 green fee to all rentals at Oakhurst. Included in that is use of our compost bins, recycling bins, and we also provide compostable cups, plates, napkins, and cutlery for their guests).

Oakhurst Garden Rentals:
- Wylde Center Members: $150 / hour
- Non-Members: $175 / hour
All Other Garden Rentals:
- Wylde Center Members: $100 / hour
- Non-Members: $125 / hour
Custom pricing is available for events longer than 5 hours--please email events@wyldecenter.org for your quote.
Security Deposit
All rentals require a $100 refundable security deposit and a completed rental agreement to secure your event time and date in our calendar. The security deposit will be refunded after the event upon receiving your completed Wylde Center Event Checklist and approval of the site by the event manager. Failure to complete and turn in your checklist or disregarding our policies will cause your security deposit to be forfeited.
Wylde Center reserves the right to decline rental requests.
