“Creating and Planting Your School Garden” is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to successfully use their school garden. This in person training includes garden planning and design, soil health and compost, plant selection and care, and garden-based education with students.
The goal of this training is to empower teachers to use the garden as a tool for experiential learning and to integrate garden-based education into their curriculum. Teachers will learn how to engage their students in hands-on learning activities that foster an appreciation for nature, promote healthy eating habits, and provide opportunities for interdisciplinary learning.
