Overview
On the site of an old apartment building, the garden was rebuilt in 2014/2015 to better meet the needs of the school aged-kids in the community. Serving as a demonstration garden, there are fruit trees, veggie beds, compost bins, pollinator plants, ornamentals, a rain garden. Edgewood Garden also hosts a chicken coop and a play area with a Treehouse, making it an exciting venue for young explorers. The space also includes a modern community center where events, classes, cooking demos, summer camps, afterschool programs and meetings can be held.
Built for education, the Edgewood Garden is a fantastic place for kids to learn and grow through school programs and by visiting the garden on their own time. Keep an eye out for ways to engage!
