Wylde Gardening Series: Grow your Summer Flowers from Seed

March 13, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

March is the perfect time to start your summer flowers from seed using a milk jug!. Use the temperatures and the power of the sun to grow strong and healthy plants outside using a milk jug. Students will learn the basics of the Winter Sowing technique while sowing out 6 different summer annuals including Zinnias, Dahlias, and flowering tobacco.

Join Stephanie, our Executive Director and Kristy Bible our Oakhurst Garden Site Coordinator for a hands-on class. Students convert their own 1-gallon clear milk or water jugs into greenhouses. They will walk you through the steps and along the way, you will add soil, seeds, and water. The final portion of the class, they will go over what you should do with your seedlings once they have germinated, including a transplanting demo as well as basic tips for growing your flowers successfully.
